Pina Maui Colada

Shane & I were on our honeymoon in Maui where this amazing creation was discovered.

If you’re like me & have a sweet tooth, this drink hits the spot perfectly every time.

It’s so quick & easy too!

Estimated time: less than 5 mins (including prep & clean up)

Serving Size: two 8 oz. drinks full

What you’ll need:

  • Blender* (make sure it can handle ice)
  • 2 cups Dohl Canned Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 3 drops pure vanilla (optional)
  • ¼ cup Coconut extract
  • 2 cups of Ice (1.5 trays)

*We use our Blendtec blender (I praise this item, but I’ll talk about that in a different post)

Directions:

Pour Pineapple juice, cream, sugar, vanilla, & coconut into blender

(I suggest adding the ice last because the ice melts quickly, but some blenders prefer you to add the ice first)

Set Blender on a high setting for about 15 seconds, after 15 seconds you should notice a thick blend with froth on top

*This can vary depending on your blender, keep a close watch!

Tips:

♦Depending on how you like the consistency of your drink (I like mine a like more on the thicker icy side) start with less ice if you’d like a less thick drink

♦It’s ok to add or take away from any of these ingredients, it’s just what I prefer!

Want more?

Try adding strawberries! This is my husband favorite, fresh strawberries are always great but we buy the Costco Frozen Strawberries, they last forever & make the drinks even colder, just add about a cup in for a hint of strawberry delight!

Let me know what other tips & tricks you find out!!

Enjoy!
